Introduction to Data Analysis in R
R is one of the two most popular languages used in data science. While it traditionally has had a reputation of being difficult to learn, there have been plenty of tools in recent times that have bridged that gap. This course will aim to introduce those tools to anyone wanting to learn R as a data science tool.
How can one import data into R?
How can one manipulate data?
How can one make beautiful and informative visualisations?
How can one build a simple machine learning model?
How can one build a dashboard?
The course will cover answers to these questions by introducing tools with hands on examples. At the end of this course, not only will you know what the words dplyr, ggplot2, shiny etc mean but also be able to use them to practice your data science skills.
The course is meant for anyone that has an interest in data or analysis of data. If you are familiar with SQL or Excel and want to take your data analysis skills to the next level, this course will be a great platform to learn about a tool that lets you achieve that.
Please bring a laptop with R and R Studio installed. Details of other files to install will be provided to registered participants shortly before the course.
